FAQs

  • We run weekly in 14-week terms, with a half term break in the middle. Our first term runs January - April, then May - August & September - December with our shows being in June and December.

  • Each full term costs a total of £196 (£14 per session). This is paid either upfront at the beginning of the term or by subscription as four monthly payments of £49 over the 14 weeks.

This includes everything you need: all sheet music, backing tracks, the parts recorded so you can listen at home, an active Whatsapp community and tea and biscuits each session!

The first session can be paid as a one-off trial of £14 so you can double check you like the choir and that it's the right fit for you before you join up. If after your trial you did want to the £14 is then taken off the term price, so the monthly payments become £45.50 over the 4 months

  • No, we don’t hold auditions, as we feel this is a unnecessary barrier and every singer starts in a different place. However, as this is an intermediate choir you will need some prior experience of singing; whether that’s in a choir, on the stage or any private vocal coaching. You will also need to be over the age of 18.

Apart from that you just need a smile and a keen sense to learn and have fun!

If you have any questions you can always email the team at hello@cityofstarschoir.co.uk and then can help advise you.

  • We do work from sheet music but no, you don’t have to read. In session your Choir Leader will sing your part to you first to demonstrate, so it caters to all learning types.

We also have a full system in place which has the parts recorded separately, so you can learn by ear too at home.

  • If you want to cancel your membership mid-term all you need to do is tell your choir leader or fill out a form on our system and then someone will be in touch to confirm.

We do have a 3-week cancellation policy in place, so following your confirmation that will be worked out and anything owed or refunded will be sorted out.
